What exactly is going on here at Naked Prose?
Well, firstly, the Naked part.
I’m a seasoned photographer who has finally gathered the courage to make a living creating and sharing my work with the world, on my own terms, the way I want.
I’ve tried my hand at photographing just about everything since I picked up a digital camera over 20 years ago, but one of the very first subjects I ever captured was a nude female. The feminine form never became the primary focus of my photography - finding willing participants was a challenge for an introvert living in a small town - yet it was never far from my mind, and I returned to it as often as circumstances would allow.
Circumstances have changed, and I’m now able to return to photographing nude female subjects much more often, so that’s what I’m doing. I’d like this page to be a nexus for people who appreciate that kind of thing.
So let’s talk shop about photography and the professional model industry. Let’s speak our minds about what exactly constitutes art, erotica, and pornography. Let’s inspire each other to try new things and experiment within this genre. Above all, let’s be thoughtful admirers of the beauty, the mystery, the majesty of the female nude.
So that’s the Naked part of what I do here. The Prose part?
Well, one of the few things that I’ve been working on longer than photography is writing. I’m not a particularly laconic narrator - I did just take nearly a thousand characters to say this is a page for nude photography - but I enjoy the process of arranging my thoughts and expressing them in an engaging and entertaining way.
You’ll find my writing all over this site, not just in the obvious place (the Prose section), but in the photography sections as well. I document all of my shoots and share my creative thought process for each set I share. I hope to offer some insight into how I think about the work I do and how this whole business of nude photography goes, one lovely model at a time.
