Your captures make her look very beautiful in a holistic way. A lovely body with the definitions and depth showing her to a very high level. She could easily be an erotic, well kept housewife or a sultry power warrior showing her strength in a soft feminine way. Maybe she’s both?
That dramatic one sitting, leaning against the bed, with her legs propped open and bent in the harsh light works. The shadows on her left side look like fingers grasping toward her breast and the way she appears in a true 3 dimensional way is pretty good. Well done to you, to Anna and to Mr Kodak.
I agree entirely. I only use film when I know I can get away with it, and even then I've always got my phone as a last resort if something is really not working. It's hard to believe there was a good century or more when photographers had to rely on film. I wonder how many beautiful images we've lost to the vagaries of that medium?
My father was a professional photographer. He did mostly weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s, etc. But, of course, everywhere we went on vacation, so did his 400 lbs of photography equipment. So, we go to a place on vacation, say Williamsburg, VA, and he would walk around until he saw a pretty flower or plant, or a beautiful woman in period costume (this was the 70s and my father was a homophobe until his brother came out, but it meant no pictures of the men), and then he yelled at my brother and I to bring and set up the g.. d..n equipment already and to stop being so f’ng lazy, etc etc. But his work was brilliant. And, of course, it was all film work. So, I know how beautiful it can be. Hell, he even got some decent pictures of me! 😂😂😂😂
I had a weird phase in which I carried around a Mamiya 645AF with me on photo walks, sometimes with multiple lenses. The things we do for the hobby, honestly.
I love that you’re using film. I got into photography in the 70s, before the digital age and film was all that was available. Your shoot with Anna was extraordinary.
The more I read your work, the more I love it! As photographers - I wouldn't say "it" gets boring, but yes, it's good to change things up and try challenging yourself. I'm unsure how I'd fare with shooting film, but I often will limit myself to a prime lens. Last photoshoot, I only used my 35mm f1.4 sigma art.
The 35mm is a much more sensible choice! I've just always loved that 24L and refuse to dump it for a 35 or 50. Happily I'm shooting again today, back to digital with my usual zooms. Should be a much easier day 😅 Thank you for reading and commenting!
Film is not dead. ;-)
Although it may kill me!

Thanks for your kind and thoughtful words, Edward!
Great read and views of Ana. I like the film look and appreciate the work all the more for it. Bravo!
Use film if it challenges you, because we need to be challenged to grow.
But use digital for all the reasons you listed: cheap, relatively easy, and instantly publishable with no degradation of the image.
Accept the challenge when your muse moves you, and when they just want you to have a reliably great shoot, use digital.
That’s my advice. It is definitely worth what you paid for it! 😂😂😂

That is what happens when you’re an artiste
The lips have it!
She’s a beautiful little thing, gorgeous and perfectly shot by you thanks.

Thank you! That encourages me to keep using film for these shoots 💪

Beautiful images!
Marred by the tat, which isn't your fault.
She is spectacular, and your capture is amazing
